This was my first solo record and I think I started writing it in early 1990 and released it on my birthday in 1994. I was living in Toronto at the time and released through my own label Otisonics which was a part of the company that I started when I opened a clothing store there in 1991.
A lot of it was recorded at my house in Devon and then in my house in Toronto in the studio I had in the basement so there was quite a lot of contrast between the two places which I think led to some nice contrasts in the music.
Its all instrumental and all generated using midi, I have all the midi files and I will make them available here as I did at the time. The original packaging came with a floppy disc with all the midi files from the album on it, I have continued this approach by making Garage Band loops of all the songs on my current albums.
So I recorded it all at home but mastered it at a studio called Silver Birch in Toronto, I cant remember the guys name but it was cool to be doing this for myself for the first time.
My friend Ian Wright conceived and designed the original packaging but it was a bit over ambitious and I think we only ever made 10 of these and even I dont have one. So most copies were in jewel cases and then when I re released it in 2005 I re designed the cover.
