Some news finally… I finished Quieter Trees! I put the final touches to the songs and tidied them up about a week ago and sent them to Paul, the leader of the Orchestra in Toronto. So he will look at the arrangements and decide who best should play each part, what instrument etc if theres anything missing and make it sound like it should.
If you would like to you can download the finished MP3s of the songs recorded using the Vienna Symphony library samples, as this wont be the finished record Im happy to give these songs away so everyone can hear them > here
We have a tentative month of November for the first performance. I would really like to play it in some other cities so if you know of any Chamber Orchestras that might be interested in working with me please let me know.
Norelle and I have re started work on the “other” project which is coming on very nicely and should be ready for the Autumn which will be perfect timing. We are thinking about a name change, the first name was a bit tongue in cheek and we want something a little more serious to reflect the music….
Finally The Cure’s Disintegration will be re released this month on the 25th. You might remember I wrote a piece about the making of the record and its still here if you missed it first time around. Robert has made a micro site for the release and has put up a lot of rarities and live recordings which are truly amazing. Im so happy that he has done this its the sort of thing I would have bugged him to do and hes done it !! I spent yesterday afternoon listening to the songs and it was very emotional especially hearing Boris joking around you can visit the site here www.thecuredisintegration.com
Unfortunately due to Erin’s busy schedule touring in Canada this Spring the Two/Three project has been put on hold indefinitely until she can find the time and inspiration to finish it BUT her album will be released on June 1st and you can pre order it here
